Pokémon Omniversal Emerald is a GBA ROM Hack based on Pokémon Emerald that combines the world of Pokémon with the universe of Ben 10. The Hoenn region has been mysteriously transformed by a strange comet, causing Pokémon to mutate and take on bizarre new forms. With 400+ new forms, alien fusions, new abilities, randomized trainers, and plenty of quality-of-life improvements, Omniversal Emerald offers a unique crossover experience unlike a traditional Pokémon Emerald adventure.

Story

The Hoenn region has been thrown into chaos after a mysterious comet passes over the region. In its wake, Pokémon begin undergoing strange mutations, resulting in hundreds of unusual new forms.

Take on the role of Ben or Gwen and set out to catalog the newly transformed Hoenn Pokédex. As you travel across the region, you'll encounter Pokémon fused with aliens from across the Ben 10 universe, uncover new locations and lore, and discover what is behind the strange changes affecting Hoenn.

Admin Experience

I think Pokémon Omniversal Emerald has a lot of potential, especially because the combination of Pokémon and Ben 10 is such an interesting idea. Personally, I would love to see more of the standard Hoenn characters and Gym Leaders replaced with characters from the Ben 10 universe. Characters such as Vilgax or members of the Plumbers could make the world feel much more connected to the crossover. I also think the game could benefit from a completely original story rather than following the traditional Pokémon formula. For example, a storyline involving aliens attempting to steal the Omnitrix could make the adventure feel much more like a true Ben 10 and Pokémon crossover.

I also felt that some of the gameplay could be refined further. For example, the Watson boss battle felt somewhat underwhelming compared to some of the earlier challenges. I would like to see the game gradually move away from some of the standard Pokémon elements and fully embrace its crossover concept as development continues.
