Pokémon Polished Crystal is a Game Boy Color ROM Hack created using the pokecrystal disassembly and based on Pokémon Crystal Version. It reimagines the classic Generation II experience with modern Pokémon mechanics, an expanded Pokédex, updated battle systems, new maps, additional story events, quality-of-life improvements, and extensive post-game content. While preserving the original Johto and Kanto adventure, Pokémon Polished Crystal introduces hundreds of gameplay enhancements inspired by later Pokémon generations, making it one of the most feature-rich Crystal upgrades available.

Story

Pokémon Polished Crystal follows the original storyline of Pokémon Crystal. Your adventure begins in New Bark Town as you travel across the Johto region, challenge Gym Leaders, stop Team Rocket's schemes, and defeat the Elite Four. After conquering Johto, the journey continues through Kanto where additional challenges, new events, legendary encounters, expanded areas, and powerful post-game trainers await. The hack greatly expands the original game while maintaining the classic Generation II narrative.
