You play as Einra, a former champion disillusioned by the lack of challenge in traditional journeys. Instead of badges and gyms, you now manage and battle in an old amusement park turned battle haven. As mysterious odd-colored Pokémon begin appearing, new tiers, formats, and threats surface to push your strategy to the limit.

This is not your typical Pokémon adventure. With all Pokémon from Gens 1–9, brand-new mechanics like Assistance, Battle Royale, Move Seeds, and competition formats like VGC, CC1v1, and more, every battle is a test of wits. Build your team through a robust teambuilder, face down a smart AI, and confront a storyline that evolves in the postgame.

Story

Pokémon: Retired Champion breaks away from the traditional Pokémon journey. Instead of collecting badges, you’re a former champion who has established a battle theme park known as the Castle of Challenges. Life was peaceful—until strange-colored Pokémon start appearing and new threats emerge.

The postgame reveals a thrilling new 2-hour storyline involving new tiers and hidden surprises, reshaping the park's peaceful existence. Classic structures like Dynamax Adventures are removed, while mechanics like Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Terastalization, and a new form of AI deepen the challenge.

There are no wild captures or farms—only strategic team-building and battling. With over 130 new forms, dozens of new moves, abilities, and items, and formats that range from Smogon 6v6 to VGC and custom chaotic formats, this game redefines what a Pokémon game can be.

The deeper you go, the more the oddities increase. Choose your path, craft your strategy, and find out what really lies at the heart of the Champion’s legacy.
