Winlator RPGXP

Winlator is a powerful Android emulator designed to run Windows applications directly on Android devices.
Since RPGXP games are originally developed for Windows PCs, running them on Android requires a Windows environment. This is where Winlator comes in — it simplifies the process by creating a virtual Windows layer on your device. While this might sound complex, Winlator makes it surprisingly easy.

In this blog, we’ll guide you step-by-step on how to install and play RPGXP games on your Android device using Winlator.

Steps to install (On Android)

Step 1 :

Download Winlator apk and install on your Android Device.

To get the links, click the button below and find this portion of github post given in the image below :

Step 2 :

Open Winlator > click on the three lines on the top left side and navigate to settings. Copy the settings in the image and click the blue tick icon.

Step 3 :

Click the three lines again > Click Containers > Click the plus icon as in the image.

Copy the settings given in the image below.

Now, we have to setup controls. So that, we are able to play the game. I have manually mapped the joi play keys to the keyboard buttons of the windows created by winlator.

Step 4 :

Download Joi Play.icp file by clicking the button below.

Step 5 :

Open winlator > go to Containers > Click Play icon

Navigate to your games folder and double-click the .exe file to open it.

Step 6 :

Now, we need to import the controls that we have downloaded. Click the backbutton > Click input controls > then, settings icon > Import Profile and select the .icp file.

And we are all set to PLAY!!
